North Wind's Fish Weir- This is the first rapids on the Duwamish River and is one of the natural features mentioned in the creation story of North Wind and Storm Wind. All of these features are visible from the top of Skaxu ("beaver" in Lushootseed Salish) which is located at the sharp bend of the Duwamish immediately east in the neighborhood of Allentown. The Weeping grandmother (a hill) is located immediately west of the Tukwila community center and the Allentown bridge on the west side of the river.
